Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director, and supermodel. Apart from her beautiful appearance, her steady success in the highly competitive world of film proves her skills as a performer. As a young model, she first began modeling in the 70s. She quickly became prominent within the world of modeling. After studying acting, Russo began her career as a model in Los Angeles. In 1987, Russo played Eden Kendell on ABC's show Sable. She was Tom Berengers' love interest two years later in Major League, her debut film. Her initial doubts were about her ability as an actor but critics soon became convinced by her consistent work. They particularly loved her performance in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she held her own against the likes of Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. She claims that she was never a fan for acting. In 2005, she decided to go on a lengthy, self-imposed pause. She then made a comeback with a role in the superhero flick Thor. In the following years, she signed with Invicta Fighting Championships before joining Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). Her accomplishments both in and out of the Octagon has helped make her an international brand after she joined the UFC. Namajunas was born on June 29, 1992 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. His birthplace was born into an ethnically diverse Lithuanian family. Rose participated in sports such as basketball and kickboxing while growing older. Her first appearance in professional competition when she was 18 for Invicta Fighting Championships in which she won two bouts by submission. Dana White took notice of the fact that she had won, and was admitted to the UFC's strawweight class in December 2014 when Rose was only 22. Rose's career has seen highs as well as lows but she's always in a position to emerge from her fights in the top position. Rose was a fighter against Carla Esparza in April 2015 for the Women's Strawweight Championship. The fight was won via technical knockout in just 3 minutes of the first round. It was the first ever women to compete in a title fight with any major organization worldwide. Namajunas won several fights following this fight and was named Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
